Sustainable distribution
Description
70% of European people live in cities – making the deliveries of products to final customers more and more complex. This class aims to understand the specific context of urban logistics, its challenges and future evolutions (last mile delivery issue, logistics 4.0). The sustainable dimension of product distribution will also be tackled, as it is inherent to the urban context, since the solutions proposed must be in line with current environmental issues.
Moreover, existing solutions for enterprise to be able to deliver its final customers in the context of urban logistics are identified and analyzed (pros, cons).
Lastly, students are invited to develop a product distribution strategy in an urban Logistics context for a company of their choice.
